Fire Evacuation Maps & Fire Exit Maps in UAE
New escape route maps from your drawings — and fast updates when your building layout changes
Professional Fire Evacuation Map Design
A fire evacuation map is only useful if it matches the building it hangs in and can be read in seconds. We produce fire exit maps and escape route maps directly from your AutoCAD or PDF floor drawings, orient every map to its installation position, and print on photoluminescent material so the map stays readable during power failure. Design, printing and installation are handled by one team from our Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices.

What Should a Fire Evacuation Map Show?
Every map we produce includes the elements occupants and inspectors expect to find:
Oriented to the viewer so the map matches the corridor in front of them
The nearest exit route plus a secondary route if the first is blocked
All emergency exits and staircases on the floor, clearly distinguished
The designated external assembly location for the building
Extinguishers, hose reels and manual call points marked with standard symbols
A key explaining every symbol, so the map needs no interpretation
2D or 3D Format?
Both formats carry the same safety information. A 2D map is a flat top-down drawing; a 3D map renders the floor with depth, so rooms and corridors look the way occupants actually see them, which speeds up orientation in an emergency. Most of our UAE clients choose 3D — see our full 3D evacuation plans service for formats, materials and examples.
Creating Maps From CAD & Architectural Drawings
Send us your AutoCAD (DWG) or PDF floor plans and we simplify the architectural detail into a clean evacuation layout: walls, doors, exits, staircases and equipment positions, without the construction clutter that makes drawings unreadable to non-engineers. If your drawings are outdated — or the building was modified without updating them — we conduct a site survey and redraw the layout before design begins. You approve a proof before anything is printed.
Updating Existing Fire Exit Maps
An outdated map is a liability — these changes all require a revision
New Partitions & Offices
Fit-outs and reconfigured floors change escape distances and route choices.
Changed or Added Exits
Any exit change makes every map on the floor inaccurate at once.
Relocated Equipment
Moved extinguishers, hose reels or call points need re-marking on the maps.
New Assembly Point
Site works or new construction often force assembly point changes.
We revise your existing maps from the new drawings, reprint, and replace the installed plans — typically faster and cheaper than a from-scratch project because the base layout already exists. This is also part of our annual maintenance scope for clients who want plans checked and updated on a schedule.

Printing & Installation Options
Maps are printed on photoluminescent material and finished in acrylic — sandwich format with spacers for lobbies, or reverse-printed washable panels for in-room use. Our team installs at the agreed locations using double-sided industrial tape or drilled spacers depending on the wall surface, with full coverage for evacuation plans in Dubai, evacuation plans in Abu Dhabi and all Emirates. We can also supply matching escape route signage and evacuation boards so plans and signs form one consistent wayfinding system. Browse our full fire safety services directory for related packages.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an evacuation plan and a fire exit map?
In practice the terms overlap. A fire exit map (or escape route map) is the visual drawing showing exits, routes and equipment for one floor or area. An evacuation plan can also refer to the wider emergency procedure document. The wall-mounted products we design, print and install are the visual maps — in 2D or 3D format, on photoluminescent material.
How often should a fire evacuation map be updated?
Whenever the building changes: new partitions or offices, relocated or added exits, changed room numbering, moved firefighting equipment, or a change of assembly point. A map that no longer matches the actual layout can misdirect occupants during an emergency and raise findings during inspections.
What drawings do you need to create our fire evacuation maps?
Ideally AutoCAD (DWG) floor plans, though clear PDF drawings also work. We need the locations of exits, staircases, firefighting equipment and the assembly point, or we can identify these during a site survey if your drawings are outdated or unavailable.
Do fire evacuation maps need standard symbols?
Yes. Maps should use recognised fire safety symbols with a legend so occupants and inspectors can read them without explanation. Our maps use symbol sets aligned with the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice and NFPA conventions, with bilingual labelling available on request.
